I saw a very nice chronograph in Sam's Club. It had a white face and was $159. The bracelet was very nice and it looked like it should be far more expensive. Anyone own one or know a little bit more about this watch?

I don't belong to Sam's anymore, as Costco has taken me away, so I don't know the watch you are talking about. When I was still in the pawn business, we carried new Seiko's, and could buy one or two a year for our own use from the distributor at 40% off cost, and I always bought a chronograph, which I would wear and then sell. All I can say is, of the many I have owned over the years, I was not dissatisfied with any of them. Sounds like a great price. Good luck with your decision.

markdl,
It might be a little tough responding to your post. I just went to chronograph.com and searched for Seiko Chronographs and found 226 different versions. OK maybe 1/4 of them have white dials and another half may have straps, but that would still be quite a few versions.
I was just at our local Sam's yesterday (in Michigan) and did not notice anything out of the ordinary that jumped out.

I didn't realize Seiko had that many chronographs! In fact, that was the first one I had actually seen believe it or not.

Yes, it is quite mind boggling how many variations they have. I am personally quite partial to Seiko Chronographs (although I do not own one right now), it seems I always have been wearing Seikos all my life. I had a nice white dial 2 tone Seiko chronograph with alarm. After wearing it for over 12 years (replacing it with a Tag) my son wore it for another 6 years until he cracked the crystal. I still have it and cannot have the heart to throw it away.

Yeah I thought about it but it was quite worn out by my son. For one it is (or was) a 2 tone, which means half the gold tone plating has been worn, so I don't think it is really worth it. I just look at it every now and then just reminiscing how it looked when it was new.
Thanks for the advice though.

Depending on the gold plating which I think is not too thick on most Seikos, a Cape Cod cloth could take it off and it could be an all stainless version. ;D

That might be worth considering. I'll have to think about that if it is worth doing. Thanks again for the advice.
