When I got home my military Seiko 5 so was the bracelet a little
long. So when I should shorten it I see it was not as it use to be.
So I pull out some tools and get started.
I start to open up the clasp.
I just press in the springbar.
And it will looks like this.
Here is how the links look at the backside.
As I say, not like it use to be.
So I have to run over to my watchmaker and borrow this little box.
And the manual is at the backside.
Hmm, I have tons of those at my work and as you see it´s just to grind
a little at one of the ends.
Here is how it should looks when the tool is in action.
And press a bit and the pin come out nice and easy.
There it is.
Then put it back in the same way but turn the plier a half turn and it
will put the pin in place. If it not was my beater so have I put some
masking tape at the surfaces so I don´t get some marks at the metal.
But I will grind and weld with this watch so I don´t do that. I bevieve
it will works to put some tape at the inside of the plier.
Ready to rock, 2 links shorter.
I hope you found this interesting.
