I was in Zurich airport this morning and went up to the watch dealer on the second floor.
Among other nice stuff, they had (one) SuperOcean Heritage which I was led to believe was a smaller case than it actually is.
Anyway, I tried it on, and almost bought it! It is a very clean and elegant design; far and away from typical Beritling in my opinion (which is why I've never owned one before). The model they had was on the black leather strap with white accent stitching. It looked really great, but I wanted to try the woven steel bracelet as well- I heard they are sold out all over the world!
Anyway, a nice piece that I'd love to add to my collection at some point...

Hey Talktime, Glad to hear you liked it! There is 2 versions, a 38mm & 46mm, so I wonder if you saw the smaller size... They are definitely a cleaner looking dial than your typical Breitling. I believe martyn has the mesh bracelet and that he likes it... I haven't seen one yet...

This must have been the 46mm version, as it was nearly the same as my 45.5 PO...
I thought they only made the smaller version...
It is nice!

Ah, OK.. Yea, that's a honking watch. And with no subdials to 'clutter' the dial, it must look even larger than it is..
Haven't seen one yet, but looking forward to it...

I like the size. My old SMP GMT was (is) 44mm and that is just fine too.
yes- I traditionally liked complications, but lately, I've been on a kick for exceedingly plain watches that just drool quality...
The no-date sub has recently sparked my interest (but too small), this Breitling is VERY nice, a new Ball offering (and the mega-glow is interesting as well)...
So, as they say, time will tell, but I have to recover from the PO purchae before I dump another 2G on the breitling... (I was quoted $1,700 USD in Zurich by the way- it semed reasonable, for the build quality, fit and finish, but I have no idea honestly if that is a good price for that piece or not).

That was on the leather strap; I have to assume the metal bracelet (that I want to see) will up the price somewhat... Either way, there were too many digits in that price for me at this point in time. I'll see what happens in the future...
