What was it about Breitling that first got you interested?
For me, the ties & association with aviation was the primary reason I looked into Breitling. And the more I learned about the company & historical milestones realized it was a watch you could wear & be proud of the history embedded in each Breitling model...
Now I see them for the technical advances, aesthetic appeal & still the history & pride that goes with every Breitling...

I agree with what you say Scott.
I would also like to add that they command respect both with non-WIS and people like ourselves.
I was also impressed with the fact that they send all of their movements (including quartz) to the COSC. No other manufacture does this.
Finally, I think they are something that you can be truly proud of and rely on.
Rick.

Hey Rick, Excellent points. The ONLY watch manufacture to achieve 100% COSC and the ONLY one to receive COSC on their quartz watches... Now that's something to brag about!

To me, what turns me on to Breitling is their unique designs, either in their Navitimer line or the Aeromarine/Professional/Windrider lines. The complicated dials and the generous highly polished (call it blingy) surfaces all contribute to the uncompromising "Breitling" look.
I am not a pilot or into aviation so that aspect of it is not significant to me, but I think it adds to the "precision instruments" message they are trying to sell and convey.
