Hey everyone, Well browsing the Breitling website yesterday I see the Skyland is now online!!! Here's a WTF first-look at it.... Available in satin stainless steel or a limited blackened stainless steel , referred to as the Blacksteel. The first 3 pictures are the satin stainless steel & the 4th is the Blacksteel. All photos credit Breitling SA Built on the Avenger platform, it's a large watch, measuring 45mm in diameter & weighing in at 112 grams. It's available on a black rubber dive strap or leather band. US MSRP is unknown at this time... So what do you all think?

Bigger dial and less prominent bezel would be my choice. I've never warmed to mega bezels - sorry bud Later Gator ZIN Not usually shaken nor stirred ;D ;D ;D

Hi Scott,
I think it's a winner in style personally.
However, I was talking to my AD buddy the other day and he says that the UK retail for the Satin SS version on the rubber strap (basically, the cheapest in the range) is £2100. For my money I would either pay the extra £35 and get the 48.4mm Super Avenger or pay £1710 for the 44mm Titanium Avenger Chrono.
In summary: Gorgeous watch but not priced well, IMHO.
Rick.
P.S. My AD friend had no price for the Black Steel version in UK £. These are a limited edition of 2000 world wide (if I remember correctly) and he reckons he won't see one because nobody has pre-ordered one with him yet.

Hey guys, Thanks for your thoughts.. Zin, we just can't seem to get a Brietling to suit you eh? ;D Hey Rick - I agree. I really like the look of the watch, especially with the slate dial. I'd love to see the slate dial on a BlackSteel. Or the black dial with those red accents. And you know the size is right up my alley BUT, with a pricepoint like that, I'd probably go Super Avenger too or even pay a bit more & go for the Blackbird. Seems an awful lot for SS on a strap. It'll also be curious to see what the US price point is. My AD didn't know yesterday, but was going to try to find out for me. We'll see how she does

Hi, Scott. Yep, IMO a worthy replacement for the CA. I know a lot of Breitling fans have a strong attraction to the titanium case of the CA for very good reasons but my preference is the SS so the Skyland is a welcome addtion as far as I'm concerned. As an aside, are you sure the case is satin and not polished? Not having seen one in person yet I'm not convinced either way. The Breitling Japan website has pics that seem to show a polished case in addition to polished crown/pushers and rider tabs. The "inner bezel" (part of the case, actually) is definitely shown to be polished contrasting with the brushed satin bezel surface. The case side and crown/pushers are reflecting light in the photos just as the inner bezel does. Hopefully one of our members fortunate enough to have seen the elusive beast will chime in here with verification. Cheers, Ron

Hey Ron, Well, the description lists is as satin, but I do think you're right that parts of it are polished... Actualy, I think these pictures are from B-Japan (they seem to always have better pictures than the USA site). It does look like the side of the bezel is polished, which would lead me to believe at least the side of the case is polished. But, it's always hard to tell in the pics if it's polished or not. I've got several pictures from Breitling websites that look like the SuperOcean is satin, and that watch is 100% polished... Like you said, hopefully someone has seen it & will chime in. Price point aside, I do really like it & agree it's a great addition to the line-up. Hopefully I'll be able to see one "in the flesh" soon ;D
