My first love was mechanical pocket watches, before I became interested in wrist watches. I still get excited when I see a good looking and high quality pocket watch. These pics came from a Japanese web site that exclusively sells pocket watches. It is nice how the back ring comes out to stand the watch up as a desk clock, but Oris left out one important detail.......... Where's the bow for a chain? I wouldn't want to take this out of my pocket without both hands free, and a soft carpet on the floor!

Hi KW,
Thanks for sharing these great pictures. You rarely see the Swiss marques of today creating nice looking pocket watches. This one truly is a beauty.
I agree with you about the stand and the lack of chain link. I'm guessing that Oris feel today's punters (or those of 2004 if this was only released during their centenual year) don't need a pocket watch as much as they would need a nice vintage looking table timepiece.
Cheers,
Rick.
