Hello everyone! I'm new around here and just received my first Oris, a TT1 Divers Titan 1000 yesterday from Redfingerprint.com. I have seen many links to redfingerprint on different sites, and had several people refer me to them for my purchase. However, I am starting to lose confidence in my purchase after reading through the package slips. I may not be reading it correctly, but it seems that the watch was stated to be a 11-jewel mechanical automatic with a stainless-steel bracelet when it came through customs. I was wondering if anyone here had ever dealt with redfingerprint, and if so if you could advise me on their reputation and authenticity of their products, or if anyone had an explanation on what was stated on the packing slips.

A warm welcome to our Forum Never heard of them 11 jewels is probably a shipping statement to avoid luxury taxes at customs....me thinking If a display back is not fitted, take it to an AD for check and re-sealed at the stated WR rate

I have heard of them, but don't know much about them. That's a great watch, and should have 25 jewels. I would bet Eddie is on the right track. Perhaps if you could post some pictures of the front and back of the watch, we could offer more concrete advice as to authenticity.

That would be a big relief. I will try to get some pictures up tomorrow, but from everything I have seen it looks and feels to be the real thing. I bought a fake Rolex in Times Square years ago that was a spitting image of the real thing, but of course did not have the quality feel of a Rolex. This watch both looks and feels like the real thing, but I just wanted to be sure. And it does not have a display back; the Titan 1000 is titanium with a titanium back. Thanks, and if anyonr else has suggestions or comments, it would be helpful.

Hello there Sirtanisiv,
A warm welcome to WTF.
On to your query: Are there any serial numbers on the watch at all? This could either be on the back of the watch or in between the strap lugs. However, I have my Oris Flight Timer on at the minute and I cannot see an external serial number marking.
If you can find one you can then contact Oris direct and ask them about the history of the watch. This may help.
Good luck and I hope that this situation manages to resolve itself to your satisfaction.
Rick.
