The rising star of F1 racing Nico Rosberg was honored to have a watch inspired by his own personality - Oris Nico Rosberg Limited Edition watch.
Watch-making resembles very much literature: almost everything on the watch's dial is symbolic; it always has a certain meaning. Don't think that if a certain feature was made to stand out - it was made not only for aesthetic purposes. It always has a certain, and sometimes even a special meaning.
In general, this new timepiece is meant to celebrate the fact that the young star of Formula One has become an ambassador of the brand. Oris is also the official watch partner of Williams F1 Team.
This new Oris Nico Rosberg Limited Edition is a rather meaningful watch. An example of this fact could be the number of watches this edition consists of - 2400 pieces. If you ask yourself why this particular quantity, you would find the answer in something related to the person the watch was dedicated to - Nico Rosberg. The Cosworth V8, which powered the Williams FW28 driven by Rosberg, has an engine displacement of 2,400 cc. As a matter of fact, in Bahrain (the first race of this year) Nico showed the fastest lap on this vehicle.
Another distinctive feature of the watch is the ten hour marker, which stands out on the overall picture of the dial. It stands out, because there are no other hour markers on this watch. This way the watchmakers emphasized number 10 of Formula One - Nico Rosberg's number. Another 'Nico-only' feature is his signature on the personalized rotor on the back of the watch.
The dial is also equipped with a rotating scale from 12 to 20 hours. This scale represents the 12 to 20 thousand revolutions of the Cosworth V8 engine. Thus the watch is completely dedicated to Williams F1 Team and one of the youngest Formula One Drivers.
As for other features of the watch, it is also worth mentioning that the watch is completely made of light titanium. This way it is completely anti-allergic and quite shock-resistant. Each timepiece is individually numbered, so every watch is unique. This ultimate racer's watch is powered by ETA caliber 2824 with 25 jewels.
Nico is very pleased with his new watch, as according to his own words, he needed a reliable watch during his training. And now he received one!
