Just been into an AD looking for a De ville power reserve to look at (not got one - no surprise!) but got looking at the Oris range! I was really impressed by the superb build quality and feel. I've owned Omega's and have a Rolex Sea dweller and I must say the Oris range do not compare badly at all! I particularly liked the "Sinatra" Chronographs, the TT1 Divers (Red & Black bezel version was great!) and the "Artelier" Chronograph! The last one is perhaps a little big for my Girlie wrists at 44.5mm but once on looked not too bad. Well actually it looked stunning! However at 44.5mm it is only 0.5mm smaller than the 45mm PO Chrono, which I love and has the Co-Axial movement! (Mind you, it's also a heck of a lot more money!) Does any of you Oris die hards know how much discount is typical on an Oris from UK dealers? Cheers, Mac. I am seriously considering an Oris for my next purchase (Since I can neither find nor afford a De ville PR!)

I'm not sure what kind of discount you'd see there, but once you've seen and handled whichever model you want, I'd contact the dealer that runs the FOOF (friends of oris forum) website. They can probably get you a MUCH better deal and they're an AD. I got my TT1 from them.

"Rolex?" Vesper Lynd asks. "Omega", says Bond. "Beautiful," remarks Vesper.

They are based in Australia (Brisbane) and their website is www.watch-czar.comJudging by the forums feedback, the prices are hard to beat and the service is exceptional. Thay are the AD, Rob and Lisa. Cheers, Alex
