I've had one - a Big Crown - that didn't blow me away. Why do you guys dig this brand?

I think Oris produce reliable, quality watches some of which are quite attractive and give the customer good value. They are a touch big and were I a Williams team supporter and not as sold as I am on Omega, I might have been tempted by one. As it is, they are probably better on the wrist of someone else who appreciates them more than I do. ZIN

They make awesome watches indeed, one will show up at my front door in the end... If my memory serves me right they are still a independant Brand. A colleque of mine has three Oris watches, very nice and reliable.. I really love the tonneau watches Oris made.. Kind regards, Gerard

51.5mm - that's huge Gerard Youll need to wrap the edges in some protective material at this rate or never take the watch out of the box... I'll pass if you dont mind Cheers ZIN

It's like one of those outsize outfitters we have here in London - few and far in between though. The size of the watch reminds me of them - perhaps a specialist market targeted by Oris? Best wishes ZIN

Well........... I too am an Omega fan. However every other watch you see these days resembles a Seamaster or Rolex Submariner. I owned a SMP midsize. I was looking for something a bit different. I came upon an Oris Miles day / date and was very impressed withn the style and quality. I traded in the SMP for the Oris plus some cash back and am happy with the deal. The Oris is not quite as refined case / bracelet wise, but not very far off the mark and the dial is very high quality indeed. The Oris is the smaller Miles, yet it is still a large watch and the bracelet is massive. I have come to like the look very much. It is both sporty and dressy (as was the Omega) coming down more on the dressy side. It certainly makes a statement. I love the dial & rectangular shape. It is very classy, yet the size sets it off as casual / sporty as well. These are my impressions upon owning the watch for about 3 weeks now. I have worn an Omega Constellation on dress accassions, however the Miles has rarely been off my wrist.
Cheers; B.G.

"Rolex?" Vesper Lynd asks. "Omega", says Bond. "Beautiful," remarks Vesper.

They are nice watches indeed. My only problem with Oris is that only few are made in 100-200m WR, rarely 300m, the rest are 30 or 50 M WR Cheers Alex

I am contemplating buying this TT1 regulator as my next time peice. It comes in a leather case with a torch, tools and a SS strap. The RRP is only £965 here in the UK. However, I also like their pilots watch, the "Flight Timer" and their retro chronograph, the "Chronoris". I think Oris offer a good variety of watches with good specification and build quality for a very reasonable price. I don't know much about their after market services though. Has anybody got any comments on this? Cheers, Rick. These are not my pictures..... TT1 Regulator 1943 Chronoris

The buzz is Oris CS is quite good. I don't think you can go wrong with one of their watches - if the styling floats your boat. Certainly, the brand has a reputation for quality and good price. Rarely do you hear a negative word.

Two things - value for money and original design, usually with a 'retro' bent. So many watch designs are derivative these days, it is refreshing to see a brand with its own look.
