Help!
I know I have asked several questions before, and also stated that I have narrowed my watch choices, but this time I swear it is true.
I am a newbie watch fanatic.
Currently, my everyday (and only) watch is a Tag Heuer 6000 Chrono. I love this watch. Everything, about it from the looks to the great bracelet. A few months ago I decided I needed to add a watch with a leather band to my arsenal. Originally I wanted to get the Tag Carrera but after trying it on, i decided I wanted a beefier watch. My 6000 is 40mm and I want at least 42mm for my new one.
After eliminating the Tag, I saw the Oris Artelier Pointer date and fell in love. And I have seen the price online of ~850 which is also very nice. The other day I was in a jewlery store and saw a Maurice Lacroix Pontos Chronographe. Very nice watch. This jewlery store is an authorized dealer and is ceasing to carry Lacroix watches. They are selling all at 40% off. So this 2495 watch is now around 1400 and is from an authorized retail storefront. I am in a quandry of what to do! I love both watches. The only drawback of the Pontos is the last model they had has a black strap and I am looking for a brown strap. However at that price can i turn it down? Please offer opinions as I know relatively little about both of these watches other than the fact that I like them both!

I have never owned a Oris but I have tried them on and they're excellent watches. Some consider them the best value for money watches... quality is supposed to be excellent. Personally I would go for the rugged Oris. Most of their models are very attractive... and suit my tastes. Let us know what you decided.
