Well, I'm finally beginning to see some improvement in my watch photography. I've improved my light box (still a cardboard box but better diffuser material). I learned how to make more manual adjustments on my camera (DSC-W5). I've learned how to better use GIMP (color correction, cropping, scaling). I've switched to a better photo host (photobucket). And I've 'experimented' a lot. I've went from this: to this: with the various improvements noted over the past several days. The fruits of my labors are starting to become worthwhile at last.

Hey cyclonefever, It can be a real pain (as well as very time consuming) correcting & fine tuning the photo equipment for watch pictures, but when a picture comes out great it's all worth it... That progress is awesome!!! The "new" picture looks fantastic! Great job!!

looks like you're doing great Mr Cyclone. i've been working on lighting and controling reflections. it's a challenge... but a lot of fun diver88 ;D ;D ;D ;D BTW, you're now using Photobucket? it makes it easier to read the posts if you would upload your work to the 640x480 option, thanks, it's one of the neatest things about PB, being able to resize automatically
