Hi Folks. I found this forum by surfing the net and really glad I did because I am a pro jewelry photographer and dabbling a bit with watches. This site is the most informative forum I have seen and the tutorials are great! I am on a Mac laptop and I am having trouble with different functions with the forum in Safari and Firefox. I have the latest ver of IE for Mac and it is still buggy. Perhaps this site will help the Mac users with Safari. Anyway, I was experiementing with photographing a watch and trying out some of the techniques I learned here and wanted to see if i could get the image posted via an image host. I used my Canon 30D and the Canon 28-135mm lens in macro mode to take the shot and a few tweaks in PS CS2. Because the watch was a friends and still running I couldn't set the hands for 10 past ten like I wanted, but I'm new, so I am learning more and will be putting up some new shots when ready. See what you think. Thanks katt

Welcome katt
With regards to using a Mac our great General Zin may well know something as he is a Mac user.
There are some great photographers on this forum so you are in good company with that lovely photo of yours. I am sure they will be able to offer help and advice with cameras and software if you feel the need for it.
We all love photos on here so any new contributions are always welcome, I look forward to some more.

Hello Katt A warm welcome to WTF. Stew alerted me to your enquiry. The site's configuration works best on Firefox. Try refreshing your Firefox or use the latest version. That should make it alright. One other thing, when using FF, ensure you do not have a big download going on. I listen in on tropicalglen.com - music for ole foggies who love the 60s to 80s and it can cause FF to freeze. Other dowloads are fine, guess it's just some. Hope you'll have an opportunityto have a look around here and indeed post and visit often Best WIShes ZIN

Welcome to WTF! It's certainly a clear, sharp shot. I'm not crazy about the light filter applied, but that's a prersonal preference. Do you haven any others we can see?
