Hello, I just posted three shots over on the Invicta forum. I did these as an experiment to see if I should bother to make a light tent. I don't think I need one as I'm fairly well pleased with the lighting I achieved using just a piece of white paper as a background sweep and some white garbage bag plastic taped over my 420ex Speedlite. I had to fool around a bit with placement and bounce angles but over all I think they didn't come out too bad. Lot's of other problems for sure with focus and depth of field, fingerprints, dust and lousy composition but that's what tomorrow is for.
Wetowne for now.

White plastic garbage bag! Awesome!
I paid $27 for a snazzy looking diffuser for my Canon 550EX, but a garbage bag may work just as well...and they are significantly cheaper.
Can you post a link to the Invicta Forum Thread where your pictures are located?

Hello, I used a Canon G2 in program mode with macro focus turned on with a 420ex speedlite sporting the fabulous Hefty Ultra Flex Diffuser. The whole thing took about two minutes to setup and it looked like this:

A-W-E-S-O-M-E.
;D
John: Yeah...I convinced myself that if I was going to buy digital, I would get the best pro flash available at the time. I'm glad I did, as I've never regretted it (...and it's paid for itself many times over...)
Dave.
