Hey all, just wanting to know if anyone else has had problems with their 9211. This is what is going on with mine. The sweep second hand is "walking" around the dial. I have reset it many many times and it continues to do this. It keeps great time, is less than 7 months old. I have been told that it needs a service. That is ok by me if it truly does. It is still under waranty. I just don't have the confidence I once had in Invicta anymore. 2 watches in 7 months and both are sub-par to me. I love watches and feel they (Invicta) have a good product if they can get the Quality Control people on the ball. Any comments, or suggestions are welcome.

Apparently you are somewhat missinformed about your watch, or perhaps innexperienced in watch movements. The 9211 Speedway has a quartz movement. As such, the second hand won't "sweep" as it would with a watch that has a mechanical movement. It will "step" or "tick" around the dial. So, if I'm understanding you correctly, there's nothing wrong with your Speedway. Best,

Thanks for the info John. I do know that the 9211 is a quartz. I was specifying that the TACH hand (knowing that it does not sweep) is "walking" without any buttons pushed or crowns unscrewed. I have reset the TACH function by unscrewing the mainstem, pulling it out and unscrewing the top button and resetting the TACH to 12 o'clock. I referred to the TACH hand as to clarify as the sweep hand. As I said before, any insight or advice would be helpful. Thank you in advance.

The movement in the early Speedways isn't a true chronograph movement. What your seeing is a common complaint of the early Speedways. John

Thanks John. I have a Date speedway with the embossed dial, and new type bezel. I guess if it was/is happening with the older Speedways, it's happening to the newer ones too.
As I said before, quality control issue. It is a known problem at Invicta, and they still didn't get it right.
Thanks again for answering the question, I'll just send it in for service under warranty, unless there is a "fix" anyone knows of.
Cheers, Kevin

Cheers, Kevin Perhaps Pat can comment here as he has one of the date Speedways. In the older, non-date Speedways, this would not be considered a quality control issue, and the movement would be functioning as it was designed to. This may or may not be true of the date Speedways.
