After the reviews and other posts here I went ahead with the reissue 8926 from Tom O Palmer's site. price there was $111 plus $12 for 2nd day air. 1st of all, Tom got back to me within the day with all my questions before i bought the watch. he mailed it off to me the day after i paid for it. i highly recommend him. he also emailed me a few instructions on the screw down crown which were not in the instruction booklet - pretty cool. i'm taking it to have a couple links taken off. the watch is awesome. i didnt think i'd like the polished center in the band, but its really nice. this watch is only $35 more than my fossil, but its way better. i'm not just impressed because i'm comparing to a fossil. my boss has a submariner and they are very similar in appearance and weight. as another post mentions, this watch does not have a smooth sweeping second hand, but rather tiny little ticks that appear to sweep. the screw down crown was a little tricky, but i managed to set time and date just fine. i'll post again after i've had watch for a while. as it stands now i'm very impressed. if i manage to figure out the picture posting i'll go ahead and do that also.

Congrats! I've known Tom a few years now - he's a great guy to deal with. The 8926 is a great watch - you'll get years of pleasure and enjoyment! John
