I have an Invicta 8927 and the "sweeping" second hand actually very finely ticks, not sweeps. Is this because it's a relatively inexpensive watch, or do even Rolex's do this?

Welcome to the Original Invicta Forum & WTF! The Miyota movement in the 8927 beats slower than other, "high beat" movements, such as the ETA 2824 used in the Invicta 9927 or the Rolex caliber 3135. As such, the second hand sweep won't be quite as smooth as what you'd see in a higher beat movement. John
