I may be new to this watch collecting, but I can think of a couple of $2000 watches I would buy long before I would spend that for any Invicta. Including COSC rating!! If I am wrong sombody please tell me.  |

Invicta is asking a little to much for this watch. With the QC issues and so forth. My feeling is they should price it between $1000-$1500. Once they have their QC worked out, then they can ask for more. Since they are producing only a limited number they figure they can go for the bigger dollar amount (granted, most likely all will sell).

Well i can honestly tell you (as the only person who has one, and has worn it many times) I think it is worth every penny my Omegas are... including my Aqua Terra Co-Axial. It feels more substantial, there is more elaborate dial work, the movement is just as highly decorated (and accurate), it has the beefiest bracelet design I have worn (beating out Breitling, and comparing favorably to Panerai), and at the new size of 42mm (w/o crown) it is IMO the perfect size (which was my main complaint about the Rolex Daytona aside from price/availability). When I met with a couple of watch collectors last week and brought the COSC Speedway along... they all agreed with my findings. Is the COSC Speedway worth $2,000? Try it on then try to explain how a Breitling Crosswind is worth over $4000.       |

If I am wrong sombody please tell me. Yachtmaster, I think it's a matter of perception. I, too, can think of a number of watches in the $2K range that I would really like to have. But that list is not so exclusive that this Invicta would not fit in - and fit in well. I've heard all the controversy over Invicta's "QC problems", but the fact is this - I own seven (7) Invicta watches obtained over the past two years. I wear a couple of them regularly - the other autos are on a winder. I wear a mechanical Invicta to Church nearly every Sunday. I have NEVER had a problem with any of them. I wouldn't hesitate to plunk down a couple large to own this watch. And, mark my words - there will be 499 other folks just like me who feel the same way. |

Still think the brands above represent a much better buy for my money than $2000 for an Invicta.
Not sure why it got compared to an overpriced Breitling, but these seem to be comparible except for the blue rotor(think it has a blued one??) jus to much noise about Invicta service and quality for me to take a chance. No argument.Just my opinion.

No argument.Just my opinion. Well, there's no doubt that Invicta's QC control record has some substantial blemishes - problems I know Eyal is fevershily trying to over come. That's a big reason why this watch is pushed back until February, and not available today. In Eyal's own words to me, "He wants this watch to be perfect!" If you change your search parameters to find an over 40mm COSC certified chonograph with elaborately decorated movement, sapphire display back, on a bracelet, and limited to 500 pieces, I believe you'll narrow the field considerably. The Omega (2599.80) is 41mm, sapphire crystal, bracelet, but no see threw back. BUT it is $1999............I just gotta think it's a better long term investment with lower risk than the new Invicta.
As for limited production.......I don't know what that means except I read that Invicta has had terrible problems with thei r previos trys at this gimmick. Bad production, more made than advertised, no certificate, no proof etc.
I think most of the watchs I listed only miss the see threw back, maybe a rubber strap insted of a bracelet, and no "linited" claim.
I have finally received my new 8926 and think this is where Invicta belongs..........a good, cheap, value for the money. Seems they are trying to hard to be another Rolex (or ?).
