Hey Guys,
When you see Rolex watches for sale sometimes they have custom Dials. I am assuming they are aftermarket and "not in house Rolex." Do they affect resale much or are they an assett? I am keeping in mind beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the price of gemstones etc. What are the more common customizations of Rolex watches.(I imagine precious gems would be popular). I remember seeing one on eBay for a starting price of US $150,000 but it had something like 300 diamonds in and around it.
Cheers Aaron

Cheers Aaron This is a good question to which I'm not sure I have a definitive answer. The word "custom" to me sort of implies aftermarket alteration to suit the customers individual needs. However, I know Rolex dials can be ordered with "options like diamonds and other jewels on the dial. John

Yep, and if you take your non-Rolex dialed watch in to Rolex USA, they'll remove the dial, and charge you for a new one, or refuse to work on, from what I've been told.
Rolex Canada is a little more leanient.
