With the internet, I am surprised to see the TV shows still one (Remember the Telephone Auction?--yes, I am dating myself here--); but, even so, there are SCORES of these style shows and they do make $$$. Something is amiss for them to go south.

As Foghorn stated, who watches these shows at 4AM? SAH has the right idea which is to sell time to informationals for some time. I think it would help also to get rid of some of the brands they carry. JMHO.

Amen B! Nice find Koi. Like I always say, you can find out so much info about everything and everyone, it's scary. I didn't realize HSN and QVC were still the big dogs in tv shopping. One of those channels does have the most beautiful host, Lisa Robertson I think. She could sell stink off a pig!

I have to wonder if the market this company targets is too small. The other networks seem to target middle America rather than Bling Bling land in many cases. On the watch side of things they really are behind SAH in regards to offeriings. The only thing that they are strong in at least in my opinion are the value pays. I do not use them but it makes good business sense to me to have the consumer pay a smaller amount over a longer period. You hook more fish that way.

I prefer snbc offerings to shop at home Only watches at Snbc hold any interest for me and that is only to view them, then buy them from an on-line retailer or AD. I cannot imagine anyone purchasing a TV, computer or jewelry from them. It boogles the mind.

I bought a great Navigational system from SNBC at an excellent price. I may eventually buy a tv from them as well.

I bought a great Navigational system from SNBC at an excellent price. I may eventually buy a tv from them as well. I would like to hear more about the NAV system that you got. Was it the one that was featured on teh show recently? Have you hooked it up? Are you happy with it. OK stupid question...is it a GPS or does it have a hard drive with maps? Or both? They never really explained that on the show. And also is there a subscription you have to buy? I use my GPS on my Verizon phone and am quite happy with it, except that I can't talk on the phone and navigate that is. I drove 400 miles today through unfamiliar territory and it was a life saver!

Watchrob: Garmin is going to be phasing out the C340 very soon, and it can be had for some phenomenal pricing. The C340 does not have the Siriif Chip in them, which is the new super sensitive receiver. The only time this really comes into play is heavy foliage and possibly skyscraper cities. If you go to the place by the Nile (website starts with an A ends with an N and has zons of stuff in it) you can certainly read the reviews. Also, the C340s now have the 2008 maps on them (NOT V8!!! Those are the previous version), and for the price, you just can't beat it.
I have had mine now for 4 months, and a few people at work have had them for a year with no complaints.
What it has:
Text to speech for street names. 2D vs 3D Most wanted features (lodging, fuel, food, etc.) Saved Favorites you can input Most bang for the buck.
Consider this unit if you want a decent portable unit at a very affordable price. And no,I do not work for Garmin. ;D
