Andy, good luck on the search and the desicion on which and where to get one. I bought mine about a year ago and I see the pre-owned are selling for nearly as much now as if you could get a really good deal new then.. here in the U.S. , so yes the supply and demand principle is at work here with the 2254 being discontinued.. oh, and I do own one of those from one floor up as your friend does. I would give up 2 of those to keep my 2254, no contest. matter of fact I kind of did. nice watches but the 2254 is just a special feeling watch on my wrist. get ready to take pictures, diver88 ;D

Hi Andy, welcome to the best place on the net for WIS I got a 2254 a month ago, I was debating if I should make the move or not. But when I learned that it would soon be discontinued, I had no other choice than to find a local AD and bring her home ;D I was able to have a 30% discount from the tag price at a local AD. I hope you will be able to find a good deal in NY or in your area. Come by often, we like to have fun and it's a great place to learn about watches. Have a nice week end Marc

The "Bond" bracelet works so well on the 2254. Thanks for showcasing it JW

I love the 2254.50. I have a Rolex Sub, and the 2254.50 gets more wrist time. I have been searching for a rubber strap to fit my 2254.50. I found a few on ebay but I'm not a big fan of ebay these days. Any ideas out there on where I can get one?

Hi Andy!
I got my black Seamaster (same as you ar looking for!) in Miami, Fl. in October, during 2 weeks holiday. I got without great work 35% discount + the good exchange rate - so compared to the MSRP in Denmark I saved 40-42% on my "baby"!
PS! It was at an independant AD...
