If the worst was going to happen, I would think a doxa would replace the seamaster well.

If the Seamaster was discontinued, I would go for a Rolex (high end) if I had the $$ - if not, I would go for a Seiko.....

If money were no object, I'd opt for a Sub. As money is an issue, I'd be just has happy with a Seiko (group) Diver.

Actually, I've just noticed JBHII's review of the The Bernhardt Sea Shark. I'd take one of those actually.

it's interesting that you mention Tag Mr Wilfreb, on a recent trip to the Caribbean I met a fellow WIS that was wearing a Formula 1 Tag with a blue dial, I liked it so much I tried to find one to buy but it seems they are all gone, discontinued I suppose.. I really liked the looks of that watch, and Ernesto really liked my Omega 2254.. diver88 ;D

I had a Tag F-1 chrono with the blue face and I can confirm it is a handsome watch.
A bit tiny for me, and WAY to fragile (I broke it twice) but very accurate with it's quartz movement. Available with a steel bracelet as well as a rubber strap.
Long discontinued, but can sometimes be found used...
