Did I made the right choice? I just purchased a Daytona two-tone white face 2007 model fat hands a week ago. I didn't get the all steel because i have already a Submariner all steel, Explorer 2 white dial and a jubilee two tone roman champaign dial. Did I made the wrong choice on purchasing the two-tone daytona?

Not in my opinion, I had this a while ago, loved it. I have had several SS too, and always found the thrill of the chase better than the ownership. Enjoy it, you have a nice collection there.

If you enjoy it thats all that matters. If you were going to let other people wear your watch, then I would care about what they think. Relax, enjoy and bond with your watch!

I'm not sure that there is a wrong Rolex Daytona with the obvious exception of that gaudy Leopard limited edition. They are great watches and give their owners many years of service. The SS is a trophy watch that is appreciated by other Rolex enthusiasts but the common person will probably just see the "Rolex" part of it.
It sounds like you had the opportunity of getting either model and you chose the two tone because you wanted something different for your collection and you liked the look. Its my experience that your first choice is more often than not the correct one.
Enjoy your new Daytona because you like it and don't worry so much about the trophies.

JayD: What matters most, is what YOU enjoy and what YOU like, even if you changed the face to plaid with pink, green, and yellow stripes. Ok, so maybe not that far. ;D But, if you like it, that all that matters. Congrats on your new watch.

Thank you for your comments fellow rolex enthusiast. By the way how much is it over there in US the daytona? Cause i bought mine for like 464,000 pesos. The all steel white face cost 470,000 pesos while the black face cost 480,000 pesos. thanks again.

JayD: ADs are not supposed to sell over MSRP for any Rolex. While some may provide a discount, they are not obligated to, and for the Daytona, most will not. Unfortunately, I do not know the conversions; but, I expect someone to come by soon to answer your question.

If you like it...that is what matters..however since you asked for opinions ill will give you mine , I like the ss Daytona a lot and find it to be a great value at the retail price, however the two tone Daytona is around 12k, and at this price range (10-15k) many other great watches are in reach…the overseas, royal oak, iwc 5001, and even a used calavatra, these watches I think represent a better horological value, at least in terms of refinement, but this is not to say the Daytona isn’t a great watch with great qualities, but if I were you I would have purchased a royal oak, or waited and purchased the ss Daytona and saved some money, i was in a similar situation about a year ago, i had an option of a grossly overpriced used ss daytona or an AP royal oak, and needless to say i went with the royal oak and havent looked back, but given the chance to buy an ss at retail..i wouldnt even blink But in all honesty you have a fantastic watch that is very appealing so if I were you I would sit back and enjoy that watch

Have have to say that if the TT look "speaks" to you then you made the right choice.
I recently picked up the SS version - One of the coolest attributes is the way the watch wears - totally unexpected - IMHO it's the most comfortable rolex I've owned.
There is no doubt you will love the watch.

5 years.. gee that's a lot of time. Here in the Philippines I just waited for 1 month for the SS daytona but chose the TT instead from the AD. My friend told me that he saw a TT rose gold daytona in hongkong and I ask the AD about it. Too bad there's no truth about it..
