Dear All,
As you may have noticed, we have upgraded the new Ball website. Please have a look around!
Kindly report any major malfunctions to me via PM or e-mail so that I can arrange to have them fixed.
Also, do not bookmark the site yet! We are in the final testing phases, so the ballwatch.com site is currently redirecting to our preview site.
We expect to go forward with the full launch on Friday.
Cheers, Jeremy Hogan Ball Watch Company

Jeremy:
That is a great overhaul, and intro with the train is amazing. Good website and good use of flash. I also like the watches as the 'hour markers'. May I offer one suggestion? When selecting collection, the watches, appear at the top on the white border, and on the left in the dark area. Unfortunately, the watch names (Trainmaster, etc.) do not appear well at all due to the color scheme. Would it be possible to make it a shade lighter? The concept is great; but, just difficult to see.
All in all, a fantastic website, and great improvement. Congrats on a job well done.

By the way, the pictures are terrific. Which railroads are depicted? Also, I noticed some watches that I don't remember seeing on the old site. Like the Moon Phase. Is that a new watch? Also, the dial on my dual time is off white. The one on the site is black. Does that mean that the white dial is discontinued?
Last, I was looking at the Skylab watch. What is the complication on the left? It looks like Skylab. Is it a power reserve?

On the Skylab, the complication on the left is a small replica of the Skylab with the red tipped second hand--it is small and you have to look closely to read seconds--obviously an accurate reading is not possible, but it is a big beautiful hunk of watch in total. I love my brown dial version.

By the way, the pictures are terrific. Which railroads are depicted? I'm not certain exactly which railroad are on display, but I know that our designers searched for the well-known American locomotives: companies like Pennsy, Union Pacific, BNSF(and its precursors). As we neared completion on the new website, we opted not to continue updating the old site. Thus, some models are now appearing online for the first time. Some photos have not yet been prepared for the new website. But, the Dual Time white dial has been officially discontinued. Some are still in stores & a few at the factory or global offices, but we will not produce any more once those stocks are depleted. Regards, Jeremy

A simple opinion here. The website is excellent. I do however believe that the "Hunt for Red October" Russian marching music is a bit much. Maybe just have it play once and not repeat. Yes, I know I can defeat the audio (I did).
Best of luck with the new site. I like it quite a bit.

Thanks Jeremy. Are you implying that my dual time is now a collectible?

Hi Jeremy, Nicely done! I especially like that the regional dealer links are at the top of the CS page. It took me awhile to find it on the old site. The collection pages are nicely laid out to see all the watches, and they have very nice pictures. The media / download section is very nice too. I'm glad to see some nice wallpapers to add to my rotations. And the vintage (and new) adverts is something I've not seen any manufacture do. That is very nice! I enjoyed reading the technology section, good descriptions of things I wouldn't have known about Ball's. A couple comments to maybe consider.. The biggest one. I also would agree the names on the nav bar in the Collection / Technology sections are too dark and pretty hard to see. Could they be lightened? Or a suggestion is have the letters 'glow' in the green (or other color) tube lume color and the 'selected' models (the ones the mouse hovers on) maybe be an orange glow. Or some different color scheme. But if the names could be made more legible, that would be great. it is hard to read & I found myself getting closer to the monitor to read them. Is there a way to enlarge the pictures of the models once your on a specific model? Like a pop-up that shows a more detailed, larger picture? The pictures are great, but with the details many of those dials have, I think they're short-sold not being able to see the details on the dial in a larger format. Not sure if this is something you can or even want to do, but how about the MSRP for each model listed in the Feature section of that model? I realize it may not be feasible for maintenance reasons, but if it could be tied to a master table for auto updates as the MSRP changes, it would be good info to have. BTW, I really like the 'feature' detail on each model. Very good descriptive info! I'm not sure how much it can be improved, but it seems slower than the old site. Not horribly so, but still slower. All in all, very impressive... I too wanted to break out my old Lionel train set..
