Greetings WTF: Does anyone know anything about this movement? It is Japanese, 21 jewels, and that is all I know. I learned of it, when a member posted about his Android watch. It is interesting, and am considering getting it for a family member, who liked the watch very much. Problem is, I do not know a thing about this movement, reliability, time specifications (ie, -/+ in a 24 hr timeframe), battery vs automatic, etc. Thanks for any information you can provide.

I have an Invicta Opus Pro Diver with an open heart configuration that has that movement. Here is what I know: Miyota 8N24 skeleton gold plated movement, 21600 bph. Power reserve 40 hours. Non-hacking movement. Automatic. It appears to keep very good time and seems to be on a par with the Miyota 8215.

The miyota is bullet proof, I've got several watches with this movement and the accuracy is as good as the ones with swiss movements, but the sweeping isn't as smooth.

I've got a few Miyota driven watches but, alas, the accuracy is nothing to write home about on 80% of them. They are great for the price paid though. (same story with the Seiko 7s36/26)

Mostly marginal luck with Miyota can't get any better that 20 seconds/day on an out of the box piece...7S26 does not performed any better IMHO ...only Orient have an amazing accuracy from even their least expensive models/movements out of the box.... just unbelievable

Hmm.......I was thinking of picking up an Adroid that uses that movement; but, -/+ 20 day is quite erratic. Maybe I should reconsider. Thanks for everyone's input.

Where my experience differs from many others here is this: I have owned many Orients; not one was ever any more accurate out of the box than any of my Seiko's with a 7S26 movement. I now have 3 Orient Stars (which I love), and are great watches for the price (nicely decorated movements). None of my Stars, however, even come close to COSC accuracy.
