Well, yes, KW. That's the point. It suffers from low blood pressure - mine (lol!) Honestly, I love the watch. And for the record the Seiko Kinetic I got last week made my night tonight. It was sleeping when I picked it up to wear after work. All the hands and stuff went whirling around. And it set itself to the correct time. I loved it - I wish my automatics could do this. Of course, I'm simple minded and easily amused. But that made me grin!

Thanks for the links; I spent the night agonising over which one to procure :-) I have a question, and hope this is the right place to ask: Do the 05 & 07 come with 'lume'? From looking at their faces, I can't see anything that would phosphoresce. And then the 03 looks pretty good too...
Regards,
Dave

I think I've answered my own question; there appears to be no luminescence on the 005. Still after lots of consideration I've placed an order for one. The black 003 is very nice, but the white was the one that originally appealed to me. I will however replace the strap;can anyone confirm the Spirit takes a 20mm fitting?
Regards,
Dave

I just registered and wanted to know if someone can PM various places where I can find these jap-only pieces. I really like the 6R15 but the hardlex crystal is somewhat pulling me away. Is there an ultimate bang for the buck automatic with sapphire crystal out there? Thanks, If it doesn't have to be a dive watch, then yes! Seiko has about a dozen and a half watches using the 6R15 movement that also have a sapphire crystal! The Spirit line is just one of them; incredible value for the money! The Spirit Line

Regards, Dave You made the right decision Dave! I have both the SCVS003 and the SCVS005, and the latter has become my favorite! This watch is way too classy for lume; I think lume would ruin it. Here is mine- It is my "Poor Man's Glycine Bienne 1914!

Mr Knight :-)
Thanks for the picture; I'm having second thoughts, but seeing yours 'in-situ' does reassure me as to it looking really smart. Am I right in thinking you've changed the strap? From the pictures I've seen, the strap is the one thing that seems to be less than the watch. That said, I haven't actually seen it in the flesh yet! I'm hoping Mr S. has them in stock - I can't wait to share time on my wrist with this watch.
Regards,
Dave

Yes, that is not the original strap. My wrist is almost 8" and the Japanese people tend to have smaller wrists than Europeans and fat Americans like me! The original strap came almost one and a half inches away from closing; not even close! Funny thing is, the metal bracelet that came on the SCVS003 fit perfectly!

Hey Wilfreb, you had better show a pic of the clock in that truck, or it is posted in the wrong forum! Just kidding my friend; I am a Toyota man myself. I am on my fifth one!

Wilfreb,
In your second picture of your truck, I hope that isn't salt water.
Very nice truck, by the way.
