Seems as if i have quite a treasure! It is a Breitling, Crosswind Special, Gold, Limited Edition. Date and Seconds Secondary dials at 9 and at 3. The date is at 12. The back says edition limitee a 100 exemplaires... I think that means a limited edition of 100... It is in great running condition with very little scratches, none of which are on the glass. It is also equipped with a leather band... If anyone has any idea on what I have value wise please send me an email at FLYTIE87@mac.com... Have a great day and a Happy Thanksgiving!

Flytie,
From what you're describing it is indeed a special treasure. It sounds like the Crosswind Special - Limited Edition made in '03 / '04. The solid 18K gold model only had 100 made. You said there is a date & second subdial at 3 & 9, but I believe you meant minutes & seconds. The date is as you said at 12.
As to value, it will depend on the condition. You mention a leather band, but do you have the original gold band? Itll be worth far more with the original band as those are very expensive to replace (about $10,000). Again, hard to tell the value without seeing the condition, but the new price in '04 (with the gold bracelet) was $22,750. If you don't have the gold bracelet, I'd drop 10K off that, then of course discount for the used value. On the flip side, the CWS-LE's are very desirable, so they have some added value, but more so for the stainless steel model than the all gold.
If you've got pictures, I'd love to see them. How about posting some pics???

Yes you are right. The dial to the left (9) does count the minutes. The dial to the right (3) counts the seconds and the date is at the top (12).
On a further note, I don't have the gold band, but it does have a breitling alligator band... It looks like it came with the watch or maybe it was just a really good job on the swap out.
I have no way of posting pictures right now but can tell you a little more about it. The winding mechanism is moderately quite and the second hand moves very smooth. There are scratches from normal wear a tear. If you want to call them scratches. mainly just marring... as for the glass front, It is free of any scratches or maring. I did some light cleaning on it last night and got it back to an almost new condition.
Since i don't have the original band, and with its wear and tear for being used would $12,000 be a reasonable price to sell it for??? I don't want to get a " Pawn Shop Price" for it, but do want to sell it for whats fair...
I noticed that you are the Moderator of this forum so I will ask you am I allowed to post it for sale on this website if I decide to sell it?
Thanks for your help!!! flytie
