I just did this with the Pro Diver Retrograde I had ordered. When the MOP Pro Diver came on as the OTV 2 days ago I cancelled the Retrograde and ordered the 4469. Now I am not sure if I want that one. Too late to cancel so I guess like Rusty I will see how I like it when it comes.

Charlie, when I get the Accutron bracelet sized, I shall post some pix in the General Forum. Maybe I'll do a Rusty Review over there. Right now the Invicta is in the box. . . but I hear it. . . faintly calling to me in a voice reminiscent of the sirens of the sea of bygone days. . .. WAKE UP RUSTY!! YOU'RE BABBLING. . . AGAIN!
Huh? What? Oh, I guess I was babbling. . . again.

Be strong: SEND BACK THE PROWLER! And save your marriage. No watch is worth half of everything you own!

boscoe,
Have you been looking over my shoulder at my checking account balance. . . again?
Actually, circumstances have changed a bit since this is a three pay period month for me, all of my deductions for health insurance, retirement, life insurance, etc. are not removed and the difference is the equivalent price of the two watches. How convenient. . . for me?
Soooooooooo, while I haven't decided for certain, that Prowler is looking better and better as a keeper. Meanwhile I posted a pic of the Accutron over in the GF. What a beautiful watch and what a bargain.

To paraphrase my favorite line from the Godfather:
Drop the Prowler and take the Accutron.

The Accutron is sized and on my wrist with the 5 year manufacturer's warranty in the mail. If the chrono version with the Valjoux 7750 becomes available for a similar deal, I am jumping on that like fleas on dog (but not a Pug )

Today, the Prowler began its return odyssey back to some warehouse in Kentucky. After careful consideration and several daily perusals, I decided that it was a bit larger than what I anticipated and the f and f was not as good as this new Accutron VX200 so off to the post office it went. For those of you who recently purchased Prowlers, good luck. For me, my last Invicta watch purchase of 2007 will result in a return. Thank you all for opinions regarding my indecision. The nice thing about this hobby is that tomorrow always brings another deal on a watch.

A wise move Rusty. When in doubt, throw it out!

It is a Prowler chronograph, not the automatic. But it is still a striking watch. I originally ordered a blue/gold version for less money but I cancelled that order when the sstl version became available. Like I said, Indecision 2007. The watch is gorgeous but here is my REAL problem. (I have to whisper here so Mrs. Youknowwho doesn't hear me). I was going to cancel the Prowler because on Thanksgiving, I got a line on a great deal on an Accutron VX200 with ETA 2824 movement and black/red bezel for 249 bucks. That deal is a no-cancel and it is in transit as I type this confession. . . er, I mean, posting. I was pretty determined that my watch buying was done for some time and now I feel like I have two girlfriends and they are about to know about the other one any time now. If you don't hear from me over the next few days, please start dragging Lake Ontario. boscoe can have my 40mm Invictas and markdl will get my over 45mm Invictas. Wilf, since you don't have a Speedway, I'll have that one sent to you. Oh, and Foghorn gets my Russian Diver to keep HIS Russian Diver company on those cold New England nights. I, Rusty, being of sound mind and body . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ... LOL!!! Rusty, but what put me over the edge was...."being of sound mind and body.... Now that's funny and I can sooooo relate to it. ;D
