Terry;
Congratulations on winning the contest. An excellent photograph.
I'd like to also congratulate all the 2nd and 1st Round participants as well for their excellent photographs.
Also a special thanks to TWF, both members and administrators, Fine-Time, and Edouard Lauzières for allowing us to commemorate TWF's 3rd anniversary with this contest.
I hope everyone enjoyed this as much as I did. Please drop me a private message if you care to comment.
Regards, Gérard M. Diffiné V.P. European Watch Group

In addition to that, I must say that it was my distinct honor and pleasure to have been in such good company as Jeff and Jim, two fine individuals to who I feel privileged to call friends. also the entire membership of the finest forum on the internet, WATCH TALK FORUMS. Thank you John (JBHII) and the Admin team for allowing me to hang around here... ;D Terry ( diver88 )

It really was a cool contest, i think we all took lots more photos than just one ..... i actually submitted the wrong file and didn't know till the photos were posted to vote on ... duhhhhh ........ not that it would have made any difference in the vote as Terry's photo with a photo of his mom just had a special quality about it. Here is the photo i wanted you to see ....... Just better lighting and a nicer "feel" to it IMHO. And what i was really surprised at, was Jim's photo ......... non of us knew what the other was doing and one of my shots included black rocks almost like Jim's use of coal .......... great minds think alike ;D And then i had a hard/soft or raw/finished idea going on in my head, i just couldn't get it to work out like my vision ... here is a photo that i tried that just didn't work ......... Thank you all for taking the time to vote in the contest, i know Terry and Jim both spent lots of time on their photos as i did .... and a special thank you to the 17 people that voted for me ... what were you thinking And a big thank you again to European Watch Group ( i have my eye on a LACO ) , Fine-Time and Edouard Lauzieres for making the watch. And John and Houston for taking the time to run the whole thing and bring it to us

Hey, Jeff.
I think the steel idea would have worked if you had more time to flesh it out... I can see your idea there, but just not quite presented in the photo yet. Some lathe turnings come to my mind to work that further... Maybe a few hand tools as well...
I posted elsewhere the trials and tribulations of my photo shoot. Even with a clear goal in my mind, I still fell short...
