Oh so THAT is the 2007 model..oopps..I thought this was last year's model. It is really very very nice...Tourbillons are never that beautiful until you see the Breguet ones... and yes, wayyyy above our pockets can hold... I can 'give' it to you, if you trust my 'workmanship' hahaha.. You know what my good old grandpa used to do for his grandchildren which includes me? he is an handicraft guy, and so he would cut out pieces of watches from catalogs and extend the ' strap' with piece of paper, and tie them round our wrists. and we have a 'watch!! ANY MODEL YOU LIKE!! hahaha... he used to peddle around Singapore and East Malaysia, selling watch parts for Seiko and Citizen. He was poor then, with my mum.back in the 60s,70s...times were such here... If he is ever alive now, I am sure he would be more than happy that I have taken over his footsteps. Take care now...it's past 1am here. I have to sleep..been addicted to this forum...HAHA

@koi That Vincent Berard is an amazing piece-- Hard to believe it falls under the Timex umbrella now. Timex, based here in the states and owned by the Olsen family of Norway has been making a change in thier marketing. The purchase of Berard is just one step in the re-branding. A lot of their new watches are in the $1000+ range now. There is a big article in the Watch Times or the Robb Report Watch Collector magazine about them.

This may come as no surprise, hence the snazzy avatar, but my pick will have to be the TAG Heuer Link Calibre S Black Dial (CJF7110.BA0587). TAG have this to say: TAG Heuer has devoted all of its avant-garde, mechanical watch-making expertise to the achievement of precision. The Calibre S has an exclusive electro-mechanical movement, developed and patented by TAG Heuer. A real innovation in watch-making, the Calibre S represents a complete break from traditional codes of ordinary chronographs, which, since 1822, have used three counters that are difficult to read.
This revolutionary movement offers an innovative and intuitive interface for displaying the times measured: the central hands (hours, minutes, seconds) exhibit the time and fulfil chronograph functions to provide a time display of unrivalled simplicity. With its complex structure comprising 230 components and 5 bidirectional micromotors, the Calibre S offers unique functions:
* In time mode, reverse-movement date display with perpetual calendar applicable until 2099. * Intuitive, easy-to-read chronograph with 1/100th of a second precision. * Measures simple time, split time and two periods of time that follow at very short intervals.
Movement: TAG Heuer Calibre S, an electro-mechanical movement.
An outstanding feat of technology, this exclusive electro-mechanical movement combines mechanical and quartz timekeeping to offer functionality unrivalled in three centuries of watch-making. No fewer than 230 components, including 5 bidirectional motors, ensure very high-precision functions. In terms of design, I look at it in a similar vein to the Omega Seamaster Pro Black Dial (2252.50.00). Obviously not quite as refined and 'traditional' however very versatile in it's wearability. Able to be dressed up or down with no effort at all. At a very accessable price point of AUD$3600, The Link Calibre S provides class and style, along with a rugged durabilty. (can you tell I sell watches for a living?!?!?)

I respectfully nominate the original Subaqua Noma III; caliber 7751.
The watch represents groundbreaking styling and quality that introduced Invicta's Reserve Line.
The watch is visually exciting and unique with highly visible complications. It is running perfectly at almost a year old and maintains accuracy (on wrist, NOT winder) within two minutes a week.
Finally, although not inexpensive, this unit made the legendary Valjoux 7751 available in a sport/dive configuration at a more than reasonable price point for the caliber and watch.
