Did you buy that new or pre-loved? The photos just don't do it justice. It is a beautiful piece!

Wantonebad:
That's awesome - I'm really glad for you, while simultaneously being as jealous as one can reasonably be. What made you decide to go BNIB, and from an AD I'm assuming? I ask because I'm wrestling with the decision to go new versus pre-loved. For me, the 16613 won't get much wrist time, so I'm wary about making the top dollar investment for such a low return (i.e. it will cost me X thousand dollars each time I wear it...). Please share your thoughts.
That said, I have a standing discount offer of 10% off the MSRP for that watch, though I'm confident they'd give me 15% off if I walked in with a stack of cash to match. Can you tell us what sort of "deal" you got on your beautiful 16613?
Man, I soooooooooo want one. But, the wife will have me assassinated........

Can you tell us what sort of "deal" you got on your beautiful 16613? Man, I soooooooooo want one. But, the wife will have me assassinated........ Well to be honest I’ve been lurking on this and other forums for years, I didn’t start to post until I was ready to buy. I asked for advice and weighed what was important to me and I took a little bit of a gamble, I bought online form a gentleman in NJ who is a reseller of Asian watches. They are real and there is nothing wrong with them, but price was the deciding factor for me, not service from and AD. Some of the Vets here and elsewhere will tell you can get a 20% discount from and AD on a 16613, I never found that to be true or even close. 12% was the best I got and of course I would still have to pay the sales tax. So I went with Jared Miller, he gave me a bunch of references and people here and on other boards vouched for him. The watch came yesterday and it’s exactly what I have been waiting 10 years for. As for new vs. used, I couldn't live with paying $500 less for a watch that I had no idea what it had been through, plus no warranty? I don’t buy used cars for the same reason. I’m going to have this watch the rest of my life, God willing, and that’s not the way I want to save a few shekels. PM if you have any other questions
