I am amazed!!! Someone used their head. They picked the 15th in RI instead of the 16th. Anyone know why....................................? FOOTBALL! The 15th is a Saturday, not a Sunday, and coincidentally, the 16th is also the Pats home opener. BTW, has anyone gone to these before? What does it entail, aside from a display of watches? Is it possible to get an extended discount on current Ball watches? Just curious.....

It's not a huge display but the examples are stunning to see-esp the original movements. Lots of historical Ball timepieces on display and a couple of Ball Watch USA reps to answer questions, I don't think there are any added discounts but it never hurts to aask.

Just wanted to ask if anyone else is going to the Ball tour at Andy Jewelery in San Francisco on 10/13? I'm about 2 hours away, but think it would be worth the drive to see what it's all about and maybe meet others from the internet forums....and besides, SF is really nice in October. Maybe see some of you Northern Calif Ball fans there??

Will they be bringing samples of some of the new models to these shows?
I'd like to see the Trainmaster 60 seconds and Trainmaster Cannonball in person, but my local AD doesn't have any in stock.
thanks Steve

LOL Timefinder.... Though as nice as thinking it thru the local NFL schedule would be, I bet they never thought of that..... I think the reason you don't see any Sundays is most of these dealers are probably closed Sundays, and many Mondays.. Just FYI if anyone ever plans to visit on a Sunday. Definitely call ahead to see if they're open... I too hope they have some of the newer releases to show as well... I really want to see the Night Train... Hey Jeremy, you going to any of these? If so, it would be nice to meet the man behind the answers!

When I attended last year it wasn't as much about the newer releases as it was the historic artifacts. You can even see Webster Balls own Ba........er..um.... waches!!

The museum tour is all about Ball's history. The Ball rep, Marc Ofte does not travel with any new models nor is he selling watches. if you want to see Ball current offerings or buy a Ball, move on down the display case and talk to the salesperson in the dealer's store. There were a few of us WIS at the San Francisco museum tour on Saturday at Andy Jewelers--very enjoyable.

Well what I meant by having new models is the store having them in by then for us to see, not necessarily the traveling rep. It would be nice to see these 'new releases' in a store instead of just online... And if they're going to have extra foot trafic, what better time for the store tohave the extra inventory to show...
I'll be there Dec. 1!!!!!

Sadly, I will not be available the one date it is in my area. I was really hoping to see this. Hopefully, it will be around again next year.

Will they be bringing samples of some of the new models to these shows? I'd like to see the Trainmaster 60 seconds and Trainmaster Cannonball in person, but my local AD doesn't have any in stock. Typically retailers will order some extra stock for the shows, since they know to expect additional Ball fans (& potential customers). The Cannonball would only be there if Marc has the sample set with him, which is not always a given. I too hope they have some of the newer releases to show as well... I really want to see the Night Train... The Night Train ought to be there, but it's been just flying out of stores so there may not be any in stock! I do love to get out for the exhibitions & Museum Tour events, but my travel schedule makes it quite difficult. Even if I don't make the events, it seems whenever I drop by a Ball store, I bump into a few Ball owners and have a good chat. Cheers, Jeremy
