This is a review of Reserve Collection Invicta Subaqua Noma gun metal IP plating with a Gibeon meteorite dial, model #4381. The watch was purchased from ShopNBC for $1899.95 minus a $50 coupon.
The first impression was that this watch is very well made and HEAVY. The case measures 44mm with a 26mm bracelet. I do not have a scale but it feels either near or just over 300 grams. Like I said, it is a heavy watch.
The watch has gun metal IP plating. The plating is of a high quality. It is coated evenly throughout the watch. It is finished in both high polish and brush. The case, link end, and middle links are high polished.
The double deploying clasp is nicely decorated and of high polish
The crown has the Reserve emblem on it and is oversized for easier handling. The crown unscrews and screws in very smooth. The pushers are screwed in. The pushers unscrew with no problem and push in with the typical 7750 click.
Now this is the crowning point of this whole watch and one of the main reasons I bought the watch, the dial. The dial is made of Gibeon Meteorite. This dial is so cool looking. It is a light gray color and numerous striations throughout the dial. The combination of the gun metal finish and the light gray dial is a striking look. The sub dials are, according to JS, made of MOP. Frankly, I can not determine if it is or not because they are texturized and they do not have the MOP sparkle. To me it does not matter because they do look good. The hour and minute hands are skeletonized. For some reason, the hands remind me of something from the mid-evil era. They are just match the dial. The hands, hour markers and sub dial hand are supposed to be of SLN but I really do not think so. The hands do not have the glow of SNL and this is the only thing about the watch that I am highly disappointed in. It is not enough to not think this watch is otherwise made to a high quality.
The case back is very impressive also. It is a open back with the view of the VJ7750 is all of its glory. The rotor on the VJ is customized with the Subaqua Noma name on it and also finished in gray to match the watch. This is a numbered LE of 3000 units and WR of 500m. The new symbol for the Subaqua Noma is a Sea Serpent, which compliments the watch.
Overall, this watch is very well made and is awesome looking. It has great presents on the wrist. With the t-bar lugs, it will fit any size wrist but would look over done with someone with a small wrist. Even though I paid $1900.00 for the watch, I believe I under paid for it. If the name on the watch was anything but Invicta, you would pay over $3500 for it. I am glad I glad I made this purchase and I recommend this watch to anyone.
Good Day
