Hey guys, After seeing some of the great plane pictures in cinq's Bigger Truck thread, I though hey - why not a super-thread dedicated to the products Breitling is know for - Aeronautics. After all - it is the instrument for the professionals! So, lets see your pictures of all things that fly! My 2 favorites: The F-14: Top speed: 1.88 Mach Cruise: .72 Mach Max weaponry: 13,000 lbs Ceiling: 53,000 + feet And the f-18: Details (for the 18E Super Hornet): Max Speed: 1.8 Mach Cruise Speed: 1.0 Mach Max Weaponry: 17,750 lbs Ceiling: 45,000 ft. And I gotta throw a mention to this one, the F-22 Raptor. Assembled right here in Atlanta.... Max Speed: 1.8 Mach Cruise Speed: 1.5 Mach (super-cruise) Max Weaponry: unknown Ceiling: classified OK, let see yours!

Hey pal, Ah yes - the 71... Another plane I'd love to fly. Fantastic plane, or should we say space-craft? ;D Those have to be some of the best SR-71 pics I've seen! Had a buddy long ago that worked maintenence on them. He definitely had a few stories about them. And I'm sure he had many, many more he wasn't able to tell.......

What a coincidence. I'd love to be in that plane too. Well, in my younger days anyway. Never seen one in flight but there was one on display at the Farnborough Air Show many moons ago. Back in my school days, I subscribed to a magazine called " Aviation & Marine International ". It had boys' stuff and the like - mostly military hardware naturally. I recall one of my lecturers mentioning something about " war monger " in jest naturally though I would have countered that while military they may be, they were designed to keep the peace The world seemed safer back then Have a good weekend ZIN

One of my desktops, cant find the original picture right now. Closest civilian plane to the B-58 Hustler, one of my all time faves. Have a Pic of one I took at Malmstrom AFB in Montana if I can find it. F-18 anyone?

Somebody told me to post my sons plane here too so here it is: Lego plane, place for 1 pilot, 2 passengers and a small cargo compartment: (see the Navitimer on bracelet on the pilot?? ) And a wrist shot of my B-1 with the plane in the background: By the way, some great pictures here in this thread! Kind regards, Cinq

Great pictures cinq. Love the :lego navitimer"! ;D I tell you though, those lego's planes are much better than the ones I used to use. If memory serves (and it doesn't more than it does), my planes were all squared as round pieces weren't available. I'm sure everyone over 30 has said this, but they surely have much better toys to play with now!

Here are some pics I shot at the "militaire luchtvaart museum" www.militaireluchtvaartmuseum.nl/: The museum is a nice place, there are some cockpits where you can check how things work: The closest my Navitimer has been to an aeroplane: We visited the Museum with more than 100 members from the Dutch Volvo Forum. My V50 is the last in the line: And now some plane pics, that's what this thread was made for! F15A: Some other shots: Missing Man monument: The monument really touched me, more than I would have expected. Kind regards, Cinq

As the Stealth Bombers are stationed about 45 miles from home, we see them fly overhead all the time. It's still something that one stops and just stares. Quite a sight!

Hey Max, That's a great shot - one of the best of the Concorde I've seen. You find the main file yet? If not, it should be in your "windowes" directory on the C drive... If you find it - post it up. I'd love to get a high res copy! And the -18... One of my favorites!

Hey cinq,
Looks like a great museum. Where's it at?
And the missing man monument is quite stunning. I bet it's very somber in person.

That sounds like the Raptors here over my house.. While not a large looking plane in print, when you see one in formation with a F/A-18, it's amazing how large it is. Got any pictures of the B-2's overhead?
