I must confess- As much as I love Japanese watches, I have been lusting after this one for a while. I doubt, however, that I will ever be able to afford it. Being poor is how I got into Japanese watches! [glow=red,2,300] This pic is by my friend Dxomas[/glow] One of the nicest chrono's I have ever seen, the second best was a Sinn...

That's a beauty, KW. The coin edge on the bezel just exudes quality and precision. Gives you a feeling of confidence. That aura is missing on many watches. Certainly, on most Invictas and the Seiko/Citizens I've owned.

CE bezels have never done it for me. I could always put up with it for the PO but imho, it's not very prominent on a PO - an inadvertent rhyme. However, it suits the styling of this Oris. So presumably it's a 44 or 45mm Sir K? And ummmnnn....how much please Sire? Cheers ZIN

They are great questions, but not as relavent when you know you can't afford the watch! The regular version is out of my reach right now, and the chronograph has got to be more. Regarding the CE bezel, doesn't every rotating bezel have this? It's kind of like "traction control" to get a better grip when turning, especially under water. One more thing- it is usually the clutter of the dial that turns me off to most chronographs. This dial is as clean and un-cluttered as you will ever find in a chrono.

Here's the scoop on this guy:This Oris is the TT1 Ti Chrono, Full titanium, Val 7750 with oris rotor, sapphire crystal with glass back, screw down crown and screw down Ni/He release. The size is 44mm. As far as the price, Kevin (Dxomas) told me "If I remember correctly, I ordered from Orolus.com and paid 1300.00 (two years ago). Oris has gone up on thier prices this last year... retail is 2400... with online pricing of about 1700.00."

I don't really follow Oris prices but that appears quite hefty although it is titanium. UK price I imagine would be fairly similar by which I mean $ for £ so it would be expensive for us folk in the UK. That kinda moola, I'd put away in the Omega savings box Cheers pal ZIN

Pricey Sir KW the Oris have an "aggressive" look to it, very sporty, different , very different from the Omega, nice but at that price range, I'm with Zin , funding will go to my Omega account

Hey KW, I've looked at this brand too & like what I see. I have seen them on special from time to time at about 1300-1500, but the 1700 is a safe bet.... The non-chrono goes for about 850, and that one has a carbon-fiber black dial.. very nice looking... The other chrono I really like is this one... Basically the same with a black - red bezel. However, there are many, many others above it on the priority list...
