This is for Triton's Mr. Lar: I just wanted to let you know that I bought an Invicta 9937 from Triton's Watch on eBay this year, and it came defective. The winding mechanism was broken and I couldn't send my watch back to Invicta nor to Triton's just because a matter of cost. It is too expensive to send back goods from this country to the States, so I had to take it to a watchmaker shop to be fixed. What a waste of money...should I know that would happen, I could have bought another model or even another brand. Blame it to Invicta or to you? I think the fault it's from both. Invicta for not checking it properly when it goes out of their factories, wherever they are located -which still seems a mystery- and your fault as well for not checking the watch before shipping it to a foreign country, knowing that it will be a pain in the a** and a waste of time and money for the customer to fix that problem, even if he/she sends it back to the US either to Triton's or to Invicta to be repaired. I tell you this just to let you know what happened and at the same time I'd like to ask you to be more careful with the watches you sell, I mean, you should test them before shipping them to another country, at least the basic functions as hand movement, date, WINDING system, etc. By doing that you'll keep your customers happy and they maybe will be buying some other watches from you in a future. That's something I cannot tell it will happen with me. Bye.

sebastiantorres -
Did you contact Triton before you decided to take your watch to get it fixed locally? If not, why not? How do you know that Triton wouldn't have paid for all or part of return shipping?
FYI, I had a very similar situation when I bought my wife a Citizen watch (auction site) from Singapore. I ended up paying for return shipping to have watch exchanged. Stuff happens.

Mr. Torres, I'm very sorry your watch was defective. If you had contacted us, a new watch would have been shipped to you within a few days. The watches we sell come directly from Invicta's largest distibutor, they are extremely efficient and take back returns without question. We would have paid for the shipping on your return,if you had contacted us.Triton's Treasures has an excellent customer service history, our feedback score shows that we do.Invicta did in fact have a problem with the winding mechanisms in the Sellita sw 200 movements that replaced the ETA 2824 movements and I did exchange a faulty one with a new one at no cost to the customer.Invicta has been working out the bugs with this problem.I think your statements are unfair due to the fact that Triton's Treasures were'nt even notified about this......Larry

This is a perfect example of two parties not talking to each other to settle a dispute.
Not that I'm a big viewer of Judge Judy or anything, but judges and lawyers always say that when they hear small claims cases, it always comes down to both parties not wanting to talk it out, or one party ignoring the other.
If you have a problem with a product, be it a watch, or anything else, the first thing you do is contact the store or person that you bought it from and explain the problem. Try and reach an agreement, and proceed from their. It doesn't sound fair to attack a seller for a defective product without telling him it was defective. How would the seller know? It could have been damaged during transit.
Please people, take care of business in the proper order of events. You'll be a lot happier.
