...And it was a Yellow Cheesy Color!
So - trying to cure my case of meteoritis I seem to suffer from, I'd ordered the Ocean Ghost III Meteorite Dial a few weeks ago. Got the gun metal version & it arrived today...
This is my first Invicta, so I was (and maybe still a bit am) very hesitant on what I may actually get. The one made on a good day or the one made on a bad day....
First impressions was wow... First, the gun metal finish is much nicer than I'd imagined. I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it's definitely different than regular stainless steel. At 46mm, it's honking huge! I really like that, though 46mm is about my max. The dial is very nice, though I was thinking it would have a bit more definition in the meteorite. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad though, in fact it's very nice - just not 100% what I was expecting. I also like the raised bezel markings. Much better than a painted aluminum IMO. I'll give it a B+ / A- for first impressions. No idea on accuracy yet, obviously I'm watching it closely & not removing the papers or tags until I'm sure it's keeping good time. At this time I'm thinking it's a keeper, but I'll keep 'eyeing it' over the weekend...
So here's a few pictures for your viewing pleasure. Sorry for the quality of the pictures. 1) the wrappers still on the band & 2) as the Nikon is in the shop, I'm forced to rely on the point & shoot camera...
Straight from the postman...
A box within a box!!
Hummm.. A yellow box.. [sniff, sniff] Smells like cheese...
What's inside???
And closer...
And some of the dial in different light...
That's it!!
