Just got a Russian Diver #4578 and love it. Much better looking in person than the pictures I've seen of it indicate. I plan on wearing this watch frequently. My question is... does the rubber hold up over time? I was thinking of possibly ordering another band for it, just in case.

Mine has a leather strap but of the rubber or silicone straps that are out there, they are much softer and tougher than rubber straps of bygone days.
Why don't you wait and see?

Thanks for the response Rusty!
I'll take your advice and not worry about it for awhile.

This could be heresy around here... before I stepped up to Invicta I was always a Timex Ironman kinda guy, so I'm used to the rubber straps.

I have stayed away from the rubber straps. Not because I worry about them breaking but because I fear they would be too uncomfortable. I know in the summer heat there are times I don't like the feel of my leather straps. I fear rubber would be even worse. Those out there that do have them, is this right?
