Hi All, I have tried to research the Sky King IN9278 but to no avail. I have no idea if it has a Swiss movement or a Japanese movement. How durable is it? I saw one on Ebay a long time ago with a broken strap which concerns me when considering buying this watch. Does anyone have information they can pass along? I would love to know more about it

That is not a skyking... the Skyking is a hommage of rhe R*#%x Airking. I have the auto version of that watch Miyota 8215 powered. I would guess the Chrono is a japineese quartz Found a pic of a skyking can be seen here www.watchcat.com/NewListings/inv4325sky.htm

Hey Watchbear, I had never seen this watch before, the seller had it listed as a skyking. I just worry about the strap breaking and not being able to repair it. Is there potential for a break in the strap or does it seem fairly sturdy? Kokuryu, how big is your wrist? I had a 71/2 inch wrist, would it fit me? I'm still not sure I would want it with the Japanese movement or not.

Falcon, The strap is very sturdy thick rubber with a deployant, I had to cut 3/4 of a inch out of the strap to fit a 7 3/4 wrist . I have had the watch for 12 or 13 years now wiht no problems at all.there is no reason to doubt the Japineese movement at all werther quarzt or auto. Miyaota makes excelent movements

It sure would be...i think the original was around 38mm...40mm would be perfect....now i'm not asking for an exact month ...but if someone wanted to wonder when they may perhaps might show up...it may be huge help for a certain someones holiday or birthday wish list ;D
