Excellent review I received my new old bezel 8926 last week and the same things hold true. The second hand has wings and the crown is larger. The bracelet is also like the old style with the flat center links vs the bevelled edge on the newer pro divers.

Great review John! I like the old bezel, the old bracelet, and the old second hand. For some reason I like the new bezel on the S1. I think the "coin edge" compliments the simple round hour markers better. It may just be that I'm so used to the "old style" 8926. What do YOU think? Rick

Great review John. I am still curious about the bracelet. Does the new 9937RI model have the new style bracelet with the shaped center links, or did they reissue the old model (Rolex style) bracelet ? I also agree on your point that they should use spring bars, rather than the screwed end links. From my personal experience, the screwed end links are not reliable. One screw fell off (and was lost) the first day I wore the watch. I am currently waiting for Invicta to send me a replacement screw (already over 2 mos.). Anyway, thanks for the new review and I hope you continue to write them AND post them here for us to enjoy.

I'm not entirely familiar with the bevelled edge center link bracelets you mention, but the bracelet on my 9937RI is identical to my old 9937 bracelet (except of course how it connects to the lugs). Rick I agree with you Rick - over all I prefer the coin-edge bezel, but the scalloped bezel looks good on those S1's....I've come close to purchasing a couple of those. John

See my comments to Wolf about the bracelet - it's the same bracelet as the original 9937, except for how it attaches to the lugs. I will do my darndest to keep on providing the online watch collecting community with reviews and articles. Thanks for your kind words! John

One other question John. Is the lume dot on the second hand farther out (toward bezel) than it previously was? Does it overlap the hour indexes? It appears that way from your photos. Can you please verify. Thanks.

Can you please verify. Thanks. If I had my old 9937 to directly compare to, I could answer this more easily. But I don't think there's a difference here....the second hand "dot" doesn't overlap with the dial markers perfectly, but it does cross over them....if that makes sense... John

Hi John, it was your review that persuaded me to buy my 1st Invicta, a 9937. I felt priviliged when they changed the bezel, but now they have re-issued the coin bezel. I have posted a link on the Watchuseek Invicta forum to your new review on the 9937, I think its a great review. The only thing now is, I think alot of Invicta 9937 owners will try to get an "upgrade kit" for their 9937 such as a bigger crown and new "Flying Wing" second hand. Maybe I'm the 1st to ask, but if there is a way of getting a bigger crown I would like to know about it. I feel the small crown was the only negative point about the 9937. My compliments on your new review and keep up the good work.

Last I knew, any mention of me was grounds for deletion on WUS, so your posting a link to my review may not last....but thanks for your kind words. Best, John

Why would anyone want to delete a review on the 9937 re-issued, had some good comments already about my posting your link. And I'm in to Invicta, not into politics, so I feel I can visit any forum I like ! I also don't want to choose here 'cause I just don't know what caused all this.
